Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, Yee-Haw Industries was formed in 1996 by Julie Belcher and Kevin Bradley. Using their collective experience in graphic design, art direction, painting and printmaking, the pair established a letterpress print shop, graphic design and artist studio. Yee-Haw's designs are created using hand-cut linoleum and wood blocks, along with vintage type. The studio runs as a green business, using recycled papers, most of it coming from a chlorine-free, 100-year old, family-owned facility that runs on hydroelectricity. Many of the inks are leftovers from larger print houses, and Yee-Haw repurposes its own waste into other projects.
