Chouette tees were made in the early 80's (and in some cases the late 70's) in Southern California by design blogger Laure Joliet's mom. She started the company after returning from Paris, where she had been a fancy model for years. Inspired by the casual atmosphere in Southern California, she and her friend talked with Philippe de Henning, a French Designer, to create some simple designs for tees. Originally they were sold at Fred Segal so you know they were too cool for school.

All tees are hand dyed (wash with dark colors in cold water) and hand printed in the USA. They are Hanes tees from the era and are cut slim and long.
