i golfini della nonna has been working with the same women's cooperative in Bolivia for over 12 years and was instrumental in creating a health insurance plan, dental care plan, day care, exercise programs and micro loans in an effort to improve the conditions of its craftswomen. Since each item is knit by hand, the women are able to work at home while tending to their families. Over the years many of the women have been able to change the quality of their lives and those of their families.
